The space sector is experiencing a global transformation. New technology, increasing demand for satellite and geospatial services, and upcoming landmark exploration missions are driving the sectoral growth. Almost every sector, starting from agriculture to transport, weather department and even urban development, to name a few, now wants satellite data and imageries and space technology to draw their future strategy and grow business. Outer space has been the front line of competition among superpowers both as an important market for next-generation economic development and as the fourth battlefield to fight for supremacy in the future.

India has the required provisions, evolving infrastructure, and young talented minds to master this cusp of space technology and evolve into a global leader in this sector while Oceania region’s unique geographical location and conditions makes it an attractive choice for an increasing amount of space activity. Further, the recent announcements of reforms by Government of India is yet another endeavour to accelerate the advancements in space activities, spur the growth of Indian private companies and stimulate India’s share in the global space market. This new wave of space innovation represents an important opportunity for India and Oceania countries to develop space capabilities, drive innovation, and reap the benefits of new space-related technological breakthroughs.

Keeping above in view, the LEADS 2021 session with the focused theme- ‘Future of India- Oceania Space technology Partnerships’ will serve as an ideal platform for exploring collaboration in space technologies and venture into new space partnerships. Join us for the session to hear the vision of the Global leaders who are on a dramatic journey to change the world.
