Contest Details

Contestants should identify one important idea, and should provide a complete framework for implementation of their innovative solutions, including expected results, obstacles and other details that can surface during the implementation process.

Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:

  1. Feasibility
  2. Innovativeness
  3. Consideration for details, such as financial implications, administrative requirements, management pathways and other pre-requisites
  4. Impact potential, if implemented, for the government and the general public
  5. Replicability of the idea across various States/UTs in India

Spoils of victory

The evaluation committee will identify three best entries. The winners will receive prizes, certifications and an opportunity to present their ideas at the Homeland Security – 2013: Safe and Secure Nation conference to be held on July 23-24, 2013, at FICCI, Federation House, New Delhi.

Rules and Guidelines

  1. Entries are invited from students of business schools, engineering institutes, colleges and universities across India.
  2. Contestants may form a team of up to 3 members. Each team should have a unique (and innovative) name.
  3. Contestants are free to present their ideas in form a document (maximum of 3,000 words) or a power-point presentation (maximum of 30 slides). Entries should be sent in a PDF format.
  4. Entries once submitted, cannot be withdrawn and re-submitted.
  5. Any instances of plagiarism found in the document will lead to rejection of the entry.
  6. Entries should reach us with the following details by July 01, 2013:
    1. Name of the team
    2. Name, contact numbers and email addresses of the team members
    3. Name of the college/university and the expected date of completion of the courses (feel free to form inter-college teams)
  7. Entries may also be sent by email to Mr. PL Sharma at pl.sharma@ficci.com latest by July 01, 2013. You can also register online through the link above. The email should clearly mention the following details:
    1. Name of your team
    2. Name, contact numbers and email addresses of the team members
    3. Name of your college/university and the expected date of completion of the course (feel free to form inter-college teams)
