One of the challenges India faces is the growing illicit trade in counterfeits, pirated and smuggled goods. These activities while threatening the integrity of a brand also dilute the owner’s reputation and eventually result in erosion of sales of a legitimate product. Counterfeit, pirated and smuggled goods also pose a significant health and safety hazard to the consumer.

In this regard, FICCI CASCADE along with ICC-BASCAP is organizing a Conference on Trade in Counterfeit, Pirated and Smuggled Goods. The conference aims at deepening the understanding of “grey markets” for counterfeit and pirated commercial goods in India.
