What is ATA Carnet

ATA Carnet, also known as, ‘Passport for Goods’ is an international customs document that expedites temporary imports into foreign countries with relief from duties and taxes. It facilitates duty free entry into a participating foreign country for up to one year. The Carnet contains the appropriate Customs clearance documentation, and can do away with security deposit or guarantees in the country of importation.

Currently ATA Carnet is recognized by 72 countries around the globe. In India, FICCI after appointment by the Indian Government, facilitates and administers the operation of ATA Carnet System in the country.
FICCI is India’s Sole National Issuing & Guaranteeing Association for ATA Carnets

    Hi.

We have some questions about ATA carnet.

Next week, We plan to enter to INDIA with carnet, however, our India partner company wants to get the certification from KCCI, when they enter to INDIA.

But, they didn’t teach us how to upload on FICCI or how to get that certification which is needed to Import clearance.

Could you please give us about the process or Web link to upload on FICCI?

    Thank you
