Linor Abargil, from a rape victim to an empowered survivor:
Just six weeks prior to her participation in the Miss World contest, Ms Abargil was abducted, stabbed, and raped in Milan. She was but, 18 years old then. Despite the excruciating trauma, she finally went on to win the Miss World contest.
Ms Abargil vowed to do something about rape and now, is a global advocate in the fight against sexual violence.
At FICCI, Ms Abargil will speak about her inspiring journey of strength. A short documentary of her journey from teenage victim to an empowered survivor, lawyer and advocate titled “Brave Miss World” will also be screened during the interaction
